The Silver Wolf They Buried Has Returned
They rejected her, severed her from the pack, and left her in the woods to die. They buried the wrong wolf.
Serena is woken before dawn to cook for people who call her human waste. On her birthday someone hands her a gift and her fated mate pulls her aside — by the end of the day she stands before the Shadow Fang Pack and severs every tie: "I, Serena, sever all ties to Shadow Fang Pack." She walks into the forest and doesn't look back. The pack assumes she won't survive the night. Her brother finds her half-starved but breathing — and warns her someone in the pack wants to use her bloodline.

Serena is woken before dawn to cook for people who call her human waste. On her birthday someone hands her a gift, but the words feel wrong — and the mate she was tied to pulls her aside to talk.
By the end of the day she is standing in front of the Shadow Fang Pack and cutting every tie they gave her: "I, Serena, sever all ties to Shadow Fang Pack." She walks into the forest and does not look back.
The pack assumes she will not make it through the night. They are wrong. Her brother drives through the dark to find her half-starved but breathing, and reads their mother's letter: someone in the pack wants to use her bloodline. They buried the wrong wolf.

Editor's take
Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.
Serena walks out instead of begging — woken at dawn to cook for people who call her waste, her answer is a public severing of every tie.
The slow burn from rejected mate to awakening white wolf is the engine, backed by a brother who shields her from the pack.
Best for viewers who want a classic rejected-mate werewolf romance with a cold, capable heroine who walks out rather than grovels. The pack-cutting scene is the standout. At 45 episodes it's a loyal, slow-burn genre entry.
