Set aside as a wolfless substitute bride, Selena carries a hidden royal bloodline that answers the alpha's soul howl and pushes back against a dark curse.
Brought into the pack as a silent substitute bride, Selena expects to be traded and forgotten. The alpha's howl answers her before the formal mate choice settles, and inspectors start doubting the official chosen bride. When a locked steel door yields to her bare hands and a silver shard responds to her blood, the dark pressure closing on the hall breaks away from her instead.

Episode one sets the pack on a bride choice the family expects to be quiet and useful. The alpha reports that the howl tore out of him before the substitute arrived, so the chosen Lady Della's resonance starts to look flawed, and an investigator begins checking bloodline records.
Episode four lets Selena push back against a cell-like past: she refuses to be called an empty shell, and a silver mark shatters against what the others call soul fire and a moonborn signet. She breaks a steel door open with her bare hands, leaving the alpha asking exactly what she is.
Episode seven brings the pack room under a heavy, dark pressure that drives everyone out. Fog and darkness keep retreating from Selena's blood and seem to answer an old black magic, while the alpha shields her and tells the crowd to stay back. The opening arc frames her blood as the counterforce, not the newcomer's weakness.
Brought in as a quiet, bloodless substitute, Selena refuses to let anyone treat her like an empty shell. Her blood stirs the alpha's howl, leaves silver burns unanswered on her skin, and makes the surrounding dark retreat; the pack has not yet named what she carries.
"This is soul fire." — episode 4
Kane prepares the Luna Suite and expects the formal mate ceremony, yet his instinct howls for the woman the family undervalued. In the pressure scene he places himself between the crowd and Selena, ordering everyone back before the room folds in on them.
"The howl wasn't for you." — episode 1
The opening arc moves from the flawed resonance of the chosen bride, to Selena's bare-handed break-out, to the curse that yields to her blood. Four editorial picks from episodes 1–7 — no ending spoilers.
The alpha says the howl left him before the substitute even arrived, undercutting the official mate and sending an inspector after bloodline records.
Selena shatters a locked door with her bare hands, and the silver mark in her palm reads as soul fire and the moonborn signet.
The alpha watches her stand after the break-out and asks what exactly she is, while the room reads her strength as something unrecorded.
Under the dark pressure in the hall, the fog and black force keep retreating from Selena's blood, and Kane shields her from the panicking crowd.

Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.
"The mate-resonance hook lands fast: the official bride loses the moment the alpha's body answers the other woman, and the cell-door escape gives Selena a physical power beat rather than only a romantic one."
"The closing opening beat uses atmosphere — fog, pressure, a room that empties — to show the bloodline effect before it explains the rules, which keeps the werewolf lore shadowed and watchable."
Best for viewers who like werewolf Luna stories with a rejected heroine, latent royal power, and a protective alpha; if you want every lore rule spelled out in the first episodes, the opening arc keeps the bloodline explanation partial. Compared with most Luna shorts, this one leans on physical spectacle — a broken door, a retreating curse — to mark the heroine's rise — that focus is both its strength and its limit.
