About the show

Source: SagaBox official drama page & player — editorial coverage based on the opening arc; series details verified 27 Oct 2026.

Episode one opens in the slums. The bullies mock Nate, and he stands up: my dad sold plasma for three years just to get this vial. In this world, monsters took over long ago and the gifted are the only reason people survive. He drinks it. His skin glows, and tricolor lightning arcs from his hand. The professor stiffens: someone actually awakened an SSS rank.

Nate decides to hide it. In three thousand years, only three people ever reached S rank, all legends. He knows if the wrong people find out what he is, he will not survive the politics. Tyler steps up to test his own rank — A-rank lightning, bought with ten million in training — and laughs at Nate's weak little spark.

Mia, the childhood neighbor whose family struck it rich, is the only one on his side: you work harder than anyone, there is no way you are worse than him. The Federal Gifted selection looms, and Nate's own rank test will expose him if he is not careful.

Editor's take

Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.

WebDramas editorial · on the hook

"The professor sees SSS rank in episode one, but Nate decides to hide it. Every scene after that is the audience watching a god let a bully insult him."

WebDramas editorial · on the stakes

"Nate is written with real stakes — his mother bedridden, his father selling plasma. The revenge is the only way out for his family."

WebDramas editorial · the bottom line

Best for viewers who like hidden-power academy fantasy where the weakling is secretly the strongest and lets bullies hang themselves; if you want the power out early, the pleasure is the slow reveal. Compared with most OP shorts, the rank system and plasma-for-serum poverty give it emotional weight — that grounding is both its strength and, for viewers wanting pure wish-fulfillment, its limit.
