About the show

Source: YourChannel official drama page & player — editorial coverage based on the opening arc; series details verified 27 Oct 2026.

Episode one opens on a federal facility under attack. Cops and mercenaries are burning the place down, and the line goes out — Thorne, we are under attack, code red. The camera cuts to one man in an orange jumpsuit on a rooftop, lifting a hand to stop incoming shells mid-air and wiping out the whole fleet in a single move. The recruit begs him to come back. He refuses. Then the recruit says the thing that ends the refusal: your daughters are alive. We found them.

Episode fourteen lands the family reckoning. Eleanor, now grown, cannot believe her father is standing in her living room talking about a partnership with the Pacific Group, the world's largest conglomerate, the day he walks out of prison. Five years she and Rose waited while he rotted in a cell. The younger Rose pulls him aside and asks the question he cannot lie to: daddy, can you really get them to back her? Of course. I might lie to anyone else in the world, but never to you two.

Episode thirty-four brings the mercenary tail. Jimmy, the best shot in the Hell Mercenary Corps, put up two hundred million dollars by Mr. Valos, misses a clear shot on an old man fresh out of prison. Valos yells that Thorne humiliated him, broke his arm, and stole his company fund — he wants him dead today. Thorne sends Eleanor and Rose into an unfinished building and walks out to meet the hunters.

The older daughter who waited five years for a father she cannot forgive yet

Spent five years raising Rose while her father rotted in a cell. She is not against him — she is tired of his promises.

"If you really had that kind of power, how could you have left me and Rose behind to rot in a prison cell for a full five years?" — episode 14

Editor's take

Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.

WebDramas editorial · on episode 1

"The opening sells the premise in one image: a man in an orange jumpsuit stopping a fleet of shells mid-air. The show trusts the superpower reveal to land before any dialogue explains who Thorne is."

WebDramas editorial · on episodes 14 and 34

"The family scene and the mercenary tail are paired on purpose: the older daughter's doubt is the emotional weight, the hit contract is the external clock. Thorne's line to Rose is the spine of the whole opening arc."

WebDramas editorial · the bottom line

Best for viewers who like ex-soldier action thrillers with a found-family heart; if you want a prison-courtroom procedural, the opening episodes stay on rooftop defense, family reunion, and hit contracts. Compared with most action shorts, this one leads with the superpower visual and then slows down to the father-daughter reckoning — that focus is both its strength and its limit.
