Marked for sacrifice and carrying a secret, the hunted maiden meets the Beast King everyone fears — and the one power she holds in a lifetime chooses to reach him first.
Under a full moon the heroine feels poisoned and weakened, sensing a sacrifice being arranged around her; the cursed Beast King of the deep forest appears as voices order him to tear her apart, yet her spirit power actually reaches him when she begs. The rescue identified on the spot is soul cleansing, the kind of deer power a person can use only once in a lifetime. Her own clan later alleges that she betrayed the deer realm by lying with a beast and expecting a child, stripping her of the sacred Maiden standing and ordering her end; the Panther Prince arrives to ask who dared touch her. The Oath Stone first blesses a royal union, before a hidden pregnancy draws a harsh royal ruling.

Episode one opens on weakness: she believes she has been drugged under the full moon as beast howls surround the forest clearing, and suspects a sacrifice. The cursed Beast King from the deep forest arrives amid a hostile command, but her plea to be spared finds her spirit power working on him; the only route to save him left available is soul cleansing, a power a deer can call on just once in a lifetime.
Episode four turns the hunt inward: her own side alleges she betrayed the deer clan by lying with a beast and carrying a child, stripping her of the sacred Maiden title and moving to end her. She resolves to stay alive for her unborn child, regrets that she cannot protect the baby, and the Panther Prince cuts in with the question of who dared lay a hand on her.
Episode six follows the Oath Stone ceremony that first blesses the couple as husband and wife, before the hidden pregnancy surfaces; the royal side confirms the pregnancy and invokes the bloodline ruling that sends her into a cave, setting the public break that the Beast King thread must now resolve.
Weakened under the full moon and rejected by her own clan, she uses a deer spirit reach on the Beast King when she has no other defense. Once stripped of sacred standing, her driving reason becomes staying alive for the baby she carries.
"I have to stay alive for my baby." — Lana, episode 4
Known as the cursed Beast King of the deep forest and called Panther Prince when he intervenes, he is the figure her clan tries to weaponize against her. When the deer realm turns on the Maiden, his arrival challenges the order that condemned her.
She stands behind the court's strict reading of the Oath Stone and royal standing, pushing the accusation that a hidden pregnancy taints the royal line. Her authority frames the public condemnation the heroine must survive.
The opening arc moves from the moonlit sacrifice, to the once-in-a-lifetime spirit rescue, to the clan betrayal and the prince's intervention, to the Oath Stone turn. Four picks from episodes 1, 4 and 6 — no ending spoilers.

Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.
"The threat works through sensory pressure — full moon, howls, the Beast King's arrival, then the surprise that her spirit actually affects him — which gives the bond an immediate, on-screen trigger."
"The clan betrayal shifts the danger from monster to kin, and the survival line for the baby keeps the heroine active rather than passive; the Prince's intervention lands as the reversal cue."
Best for viewers who want beast-king fantasy romance with a hunted heroine, a secret pregnancy, and a protective male lead who shows up against her own court; the early episodes alternate between forest peril and royal-ritual confrontation. Compared with slower court dramas, the danger cadence here stays physical and immediate.
