About the show

Source: YourChannel official drama page & player — editorial coverage based on the opening arc; series details verified 27 Oct 2026.

Episode one opens inside the village compound. The elders tease Chloe for spying on her senior brothers and taking pictures, but her real question is why her magic stays weaker than everyone else's in the sect. Her mentor Theron consults her star chart and announces her marriage star has already descended: she must leave the village, return home and get married, and only then can she break through her magical bottleneck. He explains that her late father signed a marriage contract for her; once she marries that man she can draw on the primordial energy of the entire Dawn Village, better than ten years of practice on her own. Chloe sets off to find the man, marry him, and come back stronger.

Episode three arrives at the city family dinner. The stepmother and stepsister whisper that the man Chloe is supposed to marry is blind, and that she surely will not want him now. One of them offers to take him instead, and asks whether Chloe is really in a rush to marry just to sleep with a guy; Chloe answers yes, then gets up to find that man and get married.

Episode five meets the groom. Chloe walks into the room where Mr Grant sits and tells him he cannot see, but he is pretty built, he will do, and asks him to sleep with her on the spot. The stepmother apologizes for the country girl who does not know manners, Mr Grant's assistant tries to pull him away, and the stepmother offers her own younger daughter in his place. Chloe realizes this is the man she came for and decides she has to go get him back before he leaves.

Editor's take

Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.

WebDramas editorial · on the village setup

The fantasy rules stay light: one star chart, one father-signed contract, and a bottleneck marriage that channels village energy. The comedy comes from Chloe treating the whole magic problem like a quest she can complete on foot.

WebDramas editorial · on the stepfamily

The opposition at the dinner runs on class contempt rather than loud scheming — they compare her to a peasant, mock her manners, and offer the stepsister as a substitute. That condescension makes Chloe's direct approach to the blind man a deliberate contrast.

WebDramas editorial · on the blind groom

Episode five refuses to play his blindness as a tragedy for long: Chloe judges his build first, and the joke stays on her bluntness while his assistant tries to drag him away. The romance still has to build after the first meeting.

WebDramas editorial · the bottom line

Best for viewers who want a magical fantasy romance wrapped in fish-out-of-water comedy around a blind arranged-marriage CEO; if you prefer a solemn fantasy worldbuilding pace, the village rules arrive as jokes rather than lore lectures. Compared with most contract-marriage shorts, this one pairs magic bottleneck with blunt courtship, which keeps the opening arc light — that tone is both its strength and its limit.
