Episode one opens five days before the wedding. Gracia walks into her own bedroom and finds her fiancé Charles in bed with Mark Mason. "Five years you lied to me, for five whole years." Charles grabs her wrist hard enough to hurt. She tears off the ring and throws it at his feet: "The wedding is off. We're done." That night she gets drunk at a bar.
The phone vibrates. It's her foster mother: "Do you have any idea how wealthy Charles's family is? Go beg him to take you back." Gracia fires back: "Mom, he was in bed with a man." The foster mother: "So what? Don't men stray?" Gracia hangs up, still shaking, slaps cash on the bar, and staggers to the front desk.
At the desk, a man next to her is on the phone: "Get me Mr. Reed, spare key. Room 6." He takes the key to Room 9; Gracia takes the key to Room 6 — but walks into the wrong room anyway. She collapses on the bed, water droplets fall on her face, and a pair of gray-green eyes looks down at her. She reaches out and touches him: "You are so perfect. I am going to eat you up, even if it's just a dream." By morning he is the boss she has never met.
Meet the characters
Gracia
Blonde, polished, in a cream silk blazer. She tears off her engagement ring and throws it at Charles's feet, then gets drunk at a bar — and staggers into the wrong room where a man in a towel is waiting.
Apollo
Dark-haired, sharp-jawed, gray-green eyes. He steps out of the shower to find a drunk woman collapsed on his bed. When she reaches out and touches him, he doesn't flinch — and by morning he is the boss she has never met.
Charles
Elegant, restrained, in a tailored suit. He was in bed with Mark Mason when Gracia walked in, and reaches for the cover story first: "It's not what it looks like." He doesn't step after her when she leaves.

Editor's take
Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.
"It opens on the broken engagement, not a slow burn: caught in bed, ring thrown down, foster mother yelling — all in the first minutes. Everything after is Gracia drunk, alone, and walking into the wrong room."
"She is written like a woman cornered by her own family: no begging, no hesitation, ring thrown and out the door. The revenge runs on her refusal to go back."
Best for viewers who like revenge boss romance that opens on a broken engagement and a drunk wrong-room meet; if you want the couple to meet sober and proper, the first arc is messily coincidental. Compared with most boss-romance shorts, the ex is gay and the family's pressure is the real antagonist rather than the boss — that focus is both its strength and, for viewers who want a cleaner setup, its limit.
