About the show

Source: YourChannel official drama page & player — editorial coverage based on the opening arc; series details verified 27 Oct 2026.

Episode one opens on a beast going mad in the cold. Lord Claude demands the freak be brought out and uses him as a walking heater for his feet. Kael says he is only doing his job, that he has to endure this for mother, and that as long as she is locked in the dungeon he cannot fight back, not even groan. Claude drives a blade in anyway and tells him to die, freak.

Episode five pushes the captivity to the cliff edge. Kael climbs until his bones tear, and Claude sneers that he makes a better plank than a human, more obedient than the cheapest dog in the kennel. The ice shelf collapses under them; Kael dangles, and Claude tells him his usefulness has finally run out. Kael's only demand is the old promise: spare my mother.

Episode eight brings the supposed death. The frost is undying. Claude falls into the abyss, climbs back out, and tells Kael hell rejected him and he has a debt to collect. Kael is to be his shield, his only purpose, to block the attackers and die for him again. The line between heater and tyrant is about to melt.

Editor's take

Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.

WebDramas editorial · on episode 1

"The heater premise is cruel in the cleanest way: the boy who can freeze flesh and magic is kept warm on purpose, because his mother is the lever. No training montage needed — the captor knows exactly what he has."

WebDramas editorial · on episodes 5 and 8

"The cliff betrayal gives the captivity a body count, and the climb-back from the abyss reframes Claude as something that will not stay dead. The show's question — will the frost rule him, or he the frost — is set up in the first three episodes."

WebDramas editorial · the bottom line

Best for viewers who like dark fantasy with a captive-hero premise and ice powers; if you want the hero unleashed immediately, the opening arc holds him captive and patient. Compared with most fantasy shorts, this one builds the power through captivity and hostage leverage rather than prophecies read aloud — that focus is both its strength and its limit.
