It starts with a retirement. For ten years George never once spoke out of turn — so when he stops Sophie at the door and says there's a hidden compartment in Mr Prescott's van, she listens. Julian brushes past: it's just the spare tire. But trust fractures like glass, and doubt settles in.
The detective file confirms the worst. Vivian is seven months pregnant, with a Porsche and a Beverly Hills villa bought in the last six months, all traced to Julian's personal account. "For a decade, Julian, I tried for a child without success," Sophie realizes.
She doesn't beg or storm out. She files, she audits, she walks back into the family boardroom. The revenge is cold, documented, and completely on her terms — the wife who built his empire now dismantles the lie.

Editor's take
Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.
Sophie never begs or storms out — she files, audits, and walks back into the boardroom. The revenge is cold and documented.
The show doesn't hint at the affair; it hands you a detective file with dates, a Porsche, and a pregnancy. The evidence is the point.
Best for viewers who like cold, competent ex-wife revenge with real documentary evidence rather than emotional outbursts. The driver's-secret opening is a strong hook. If you want a love story, this is a take-back-the-power story.
