Crowned by His Empire
Her family told her she was nobody. The most feared man in Italy picked her anyway.
The three rules are all Aria has ever known: keep your mouth shut, keep your head down, never steal Isabella's spotlight. Her father enforces it with threats of the basement. Then Mr Russo comes to choose a wife, and the house springs into its best clothes — Isabella front and center. But Russo isn't looking at Isabella. He's staring at the girl who flinches. Then the quiet word: "She's the one." The family is bewildered and furious.

Editor's take
Our editors' notes on the opening arc — personal picks, not audience feedback.
Aria's trauma isn't exposition — it's the three rules, the basement threat, the "be like air." Every drilled line is a reason to watch her finally be seen.
The feared man picks the invisible girl — and his protection is the reversal of a lifetime of being made small.
Best for viewers who want an arranged-marriage mafia romance where a beaten-down invisible heroine is finally chosen and protected. The three-rules opening is a strong empathy hook. At 39 episodes it's a compact, satisfying picked-over-someone arc.
